How do I find you on the morning of the charter?

Where do I check in upon arrival?

Please give us a call to touch basis once you get settled in Cabo. Our local number is: 104-3649. If you get our answering machine, please make sure you leave us your room number so that we may easily return your call. It is important for you to call us even though we will attempt to call you if we do not hear from you. It is our experience that even though you tell us which hotel/resort you are going staying at, nine times out of ten when we call, the operator/receptionist tells us you are not register there even though you may be. This has been an ongoing problem for us. If you are planning on bringing and using your USA cell phone, giving us that number also helps. If all else fails and we do not make contact, rest assured we will be looking for you on the morning of the charter at the Swim with the Dolphin Center (Marina side) as stated above.

What can I do with the fish I catch?

The fish you catch is yours to keep. What you do not use for eating during your stay in Cabo you may take home with you. You will need to freeze it and carry it back in a hard plastic cooler. Depending on where you are staying, some hotels/resorts may allow you to keep your fish in their freezers, or if your hotel room has a kitchenette and a nice size freezer you may freeze your own fish so make sure you have some freezer bags.

• We promote catch and release of all bill fish and appreciate your cooperation. All other fish is yours to keep.

• Just about any restaurant can cook up your fish for a small price (usually around $10 per person) and will generally add rice and veggies. The norm here is to cook up your fish in several sauces such as: Mango sauce, Al Mojo de Ajo (garlic and butter sauce) and maybe blackened plus many others depending on the restaurant.

• You may have your fish vacuum sealed and frozen or smoked by several companies on the marina should you have more than you need for dinner and want to take the rest home. The cost is about $1.50 a pound. Your fish will be ready for pick up on the date of your departure on your way to the airport.

• Customs officials may ask you for your fishing license to prove you actually fished and caught what you are taking back with you.

• Fish can not be shipped from Cabo. You will need to take your fish back with you, frozen and placed in a hard cooler without ice. This will be regarded as your second piece of luggage so travel light.

• It is your option to bring a cooler with you or you may purchase one here in town. It will be regarded as a second piece of luggage by the airlines so travel light to accommodate the cooler or you will be charged (depending on the airline) for the additional freight!

May I take my children fishing?

Yes you may, just let us know in advance so that we can be sure we have the right size life jacket on board. You must be very cautious as small children are curious and when a big fish is hooked things get jumping on board and they need to stay out of the way. The best answer is you know your children and if you feel safe having them on board then no problem. (We haven’t lost one yet!) Children have a great time and truly enjoy their time fishing with their parents. Most love to sit next to the captain and help as a look out.

Can I use my credit card to pay for the Charter?

• If you plan on using your credit card in Mexico, be sure to notify your bank of your travels to Mexico!

• If you rent a car, the rental car company will place a hold on your credit card for its maximum charging capability. You will then not be able to use that card for any other transaction here in Cabo.

• Credit card transactions processed in Mexico incurs you an additional 10% IVA (Mexican tax), plus all the additional bank charges for processing and exchange fees.
